Welcome to Mulgoa Valley Landcare Inc.
Established in 1995, the Mulgoa Valley Landcare Group is actively restoring the vegetation corridor along 10Km of Mulgoa Creek. This conservation corridor provides a vital link between areas of remnant native vegetation on both public and private property. It provides habitat for our wildlife and connectivity to support their movement. Our work is helping to restore the diversity of vegetation communities considered to be 'endangered' in Western Sydney.
The Mulgoa Landcare Group meets on the first Saturday morning (9:00am until midday) of each month to undertake bush regeneration work at various sites along the Mulgoa Creek vegetation corridor. Bush regeneration work entails the removal of invasive environmental and noxious weeds which are impacting the diversity of our native species. Occaisonally we undertake planting and installation of stock exclusion fencing. We provide tools, gloves, herbicide and basic plant identification information to all of our volunteers. We always appreciate an extra pair of hands!
We welcome the support of other volunteer groups such as Scouts and Rotary, and are delighted to provide education opportunities for students (school, TAFE and Green Corp.). We encourage the participation and education of the local community through the distribution of our monthly newsletter. We also host Corporate team building events.
